Student Placement - Digital Operations Engineer
We're offering a 12 month placements at Digital Operations hub in Aberdeen, for a resourceful and inventive Computer Science, Computing or Application Software student, who wants to build their experience in industry by experiencing a wide range of responsibilities related to the support, design and implementation of innovative digital operations solutions for the Oil & Gas, Energy and Infrastructure markets.
The role will both work under the direct supervision of experienced engineers, and will involve:
- Working within the Service Hub to provide support to our clients’ systems, resolving their incidents and requests
- Working with clients to identify solutions and enhancements for their systems that are appropriate to their needs
- Developing a basic understanding of ITI’s operational procedures and ensure compliance with both internal and external standards
- Designing and developing solutions to meet our clients’ needs (principally using the OSIsoft PI System)
- Operating in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Working with Senior Engineers and team to review and clarify client requirements
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate understanding and ability in:
- Web Development Technologies (specifically JavaScript and REST WebAPIs)
- C#, VB.Net, ASP,Net
- Database Systems including SQL Server
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Client/Server architecture and related issues
- Microsoft Server operating system
