Demonstrating the company’s expertise and sharing its innovative solutions with clients and industry influencers alike, Servelec Controls presented its Real-time Information Systems to the prestigious Topsides UK conference in Aberdeen last week (15 May 2018).
Topsides UK 2018 took place at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre and provided a technical conference and exhibition for operators and supply chain to share learnings and best practices; encouraging discussion on how to balance efficiency, integrity and investment.
Servelec’s presentation was the first in a series of ‘Techbyte’ five minute presentations designed to provoke thought and discussions amongst the delegates. Business Development Manager Ben Pomfret gave the packed audience an insight into how Servelec Controls’ talented Real-time Information Systems (RtIS) Engineers use the OSIsoft PI System to provide secure process monitoring of upstream remote operations to bring tangible benefits to clients.
The OSIsoft PI System collects and analyses data from multiple sources and translates it into a uniform structure in real-time. This means that timely and accurate plant information can be delivered to the right people at the right time, enabling them to make informed and timely decisions for the greatest business benefit in areas such as operations, process engineering, maintenance and quality.

Our Aberdeen engineers have been working with the OSIsoft PI System for 20 years and their expertise has earnt Servelec Controls OSIsoft Select Partner status: the company now has more than 50% of all accredited installation engineers in the UK.
