Servelec Controls’ Safety and Quality Systems awarded Top Marks in External Assessment

Servelec Controls’ dedication to quality, safety and the environment has once again been recognised as first-rate by external auditing association Achilles UVDB.

With an array of 100% scores awarded to the company’s onsite activities and an overall average score of 99.5%, Servelec Controls has surpassed even last year’s high standards, following the rigorous annual Achilles UVDB B2 two day assessment.

Safety, quality and the environment are paramount to the success of the company, due to the critical nature of the industries in which it works and therefore the high standards expected by its major blue chip clients. Clients trust Achilles UVDB verification as it provides an independent assessment of the company’s competency, thereby instilling confidence that Servelec Controls is able to integrate robust control, automation, safety and information systems to operate, optimise and protect the nation’s energy production, utilities and infrastructure.

Servelec Controls’ impressive scores are testament to the hard work that has gone into continually refining and improving the company’s systems and processes, as demonstrated by the unbroken track record in the manufacturing area and incremental progress in management systems, seen in the last 12 months.

Servelec Controls has been accredited with Achilles UVDB for eight years. Achilles UVDB is a pre-qualification system designed to create accountability and ethical and environmental standards for suppliers to the UK utilities industry. Applicants undergo a thorough pre-qualification process covering references, insurance, supply chain management, quality, health & safety and environmental processes as well as responsible trading methods which is followed by an annual onsite evaluation of their management systems and assessment of activities whilst providing products and services on site.

This rigorous evaluation provides buyers in the UK utilities sector with the confidence that they are only engaging with businesses that can demonstrate robust internal processes alongside a proven commitment to the environment and corporate social responsibility.
