Servelec Controls has held this accreditation since 2013, enabling the company to provide assurance to its existing and potential clients of its capability and know-how to deliver on Functional Safety Solutions.
Functional Safety is concerned with products or systems whose failure to operate reliably could harm people or the environment. Since functional safety forms a major part Servelec Controls’ offering to critical industry, this external, independent verification reaffirms the calibre of the company’s capabilities.
Conformity Assessment of Safety-related Systems (CASS) is an open and transparent methodology for assessing compliance to IEC 61508 and other related standards. CSA Group (under Sira Certification Service) is accredited by UKAS to undertake its certification activities in accordance with the CASS Scheme and is committed to helping its customers promote their products and services in the international market, with the highest level of credibility with regard to functional safety.
The assessment involved the provision of evidence to demonstrate how Servelec Controls manages Functional Safety projects and the company was able to demonstrate that it upholds the highest standards, as verified by the assessor’s comments in the report:
