ITI Group has been awarded a place in Dounreay’s Technical Professional Services Support (TPSS) framework, which will provide essential services to decommissioning and clean-up of the Dounreay nuclear site on the north coast of Scotland.
The framework, which is led by DBD and includes Westinghouse, AECOM, Galson Sciences and ITI Group; brings over 180 years of combined operating experience in decommissioning services and projects, covering design, waste, environmental, and technical support. This collective experience positions the team to comprehend the requirements and challenges of the Dounreay mission, ensuring a full portfolio of services is delivered by a highly experienced team, fully equipped to meet Dounreay's needs.
ITI Group itself brings over 50 years’ experience in the provision of bespoke mission-critical industrial control, safety and real-time information systems and is currently supporting Dounreay through the provision of EC&I solutions, design services and decommissioning project work, via other frameworks. This has recently included resolving obsolescence issues and replacing control systems to enable the continued throughput of waste characterisation and sentencing, as well as designing and installing improvements to control and monitoring systems for further decommissioning phases.

Dounreay, a division of Magnox Ltd (previously Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd), was formed to lead the transition of the Dounreay site from its former role as a fast reactor research centre into Scotland's largest nuclear clean-up and demolition project. The transition process will involve the safe dismantling and removal of redundant nuclear facilities, the management of radioactive waste, and the environmental restoration of the site to a condition that allows it to be used for other purposes or returned to nature.
